Meppadi: A complaint has been filed against a YouTuber for allegedly exploiting the tragic loss of a family in the Mundakkai landslide.

Naufal, a resident of Mundakkai, lodged the complaint with the Meppadi police, accusing the owner of YouTube channel 'Movie Pix' of using information about him and his family’s tragedy without permission.

Naufal, who lost 11 family members, including his wife and children in the landslide, claims that the YouTuber created and published a video using his family's story without consent. According to him, the published video on YouTube mockingly portrays him. This has severely affected him causing emotional distress.

When Naufal contacted the YouTuber to discuss the issue, he alleged that the YouTuber misbehaved and threatened him.

The complaint was filed at the police station in the presence of MLA T Siddique and activist Gafoor Venniyode. Meppadi police have registered complaint and stated that they will investigate the matter and take appropriate action.
