Kochi: Minister G Sudhakaran came down heavily on Justice Kemal Pasha who supported the unauthorised opening of Vyttila flyover by V4 Kochi activists.

Pasha had earlier stated that even a beggar can inaugurate the flyover. Sudhakaran severely criticised him during a media address.

“A former judge recently stated that even a beggar can inaugurate the flyover. Kerala is shocked over the comments. What was he saying? Are beggars substandard? But ever heard of beggars inaugurating government infrastructure? Commissioning is not a phenomenon present only in Kerala, it is present all over the world,” he said.

Sudhakaran also said that V4 Kerala who opened Vyttila flyover for traffic was white-collar mafia. The Palarivattom flyover works were delayed by 9 months by such gangs.

“E Sreedharan’s report, Madras IIT report, PWD engineers report have been submitted in the court. Without reading any of these, the court ordered for strength load test. We accepted the verdict as it came from a judge. But when appealed against it, court ordered for demolition and reconstruction. Now 60 percent of the works have been completed. The flyover will be opened for traffic in May,” minister further stated.
