Kochi: Congress leader V.T. Balram has extended support to actress Honey Rose, who filed a complaint against Boby Chemmanur for making obscene remarks.
Balram remarked that Honey Rose has raised a precise and valid complaint through public media. He also added that it is essential to know what actions the ruling authorities and official legal system here intend to take against the accused, who is a gold tycoon and charity figure. Furthermore, Balram strongly emphasised that the rule of law should not kneel before wealth and PR power.
Earlier, Honey Rose filed a complaint against Boby Chemmanur at the Ernakulam Central Police Station. The actress herself shared the information about the complaint on Instagram. A few days ago, Honey Rose had come forward with allegations that an individual was insulting her on social media using double-meaning remarks.
She said that during an inaugural event, she was subjected to humiliation through such comments, and consequently, she decided not to participate in any events organised by that particular individual's establishment. Following this, the individual allegedly retaliated by intentionally dragging her name through social media and making derogatory comments aimed at demeaning her womanhood, as revealed by Honey Rose in a social media post.
