Thiruvananthapuram: A special investigation team from Kerala aided by the Haryana police have expanded their inquiry in the major scam at Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) recruitment exam to a coaching centre in Gurgaon in Haryana. More arrests are expected to happen in the case in the coming days.
Earlier, two individuals from Haryana named Manoj Kumar and Gautham Chauhan, were arrested for impersonating two candidates and for using electronic gadgets in the VSCC exam.

The officials have collected the phone numbers and addresses of the probable suspects in the case.
The investigation team from Kerala reached Haryana by Thursday evening. The team is led by ASP Deepak Dhankhar. He is a native of Haryana and currently serves as the Poojapura station house officer. Medical College CI Harilal and Cyber Police officials are also part of the investigating team.
As per the statements issued by the accused who were arrested for the high-tech fraud at the VSSC entrance exam, the conspiracy was hatched inside the particular coaching centre. The accused claimed that they were trained inside the building.
The electronic gadgets were handed over to the accused at the coaching centre. At the end of a rigorous selection process, the imposters were finalised. It was made sure that they had facial similarities with the original candidates.
The police have collected the details of the VSSC job applicants. The cops have also received the bank account details of the accused. The financial transactions of the accused are being examined at the moment.
The fraudsters were funded by students. They were given hefty amounts for their travel and accommodation. The fraudsters had travelled in flights to Thiruvananthapuram.
It is known that the gang charged Rs 1-2 lakhs from every student for carrying out the fraud.
