Kochi: Kerala Minister PA Mohammed Riyas inaugurated the second virtual Kerala Travel Mart (KTM) under KTM Society on Tuesday. During the event, he asserted that the state government will extend support to attract more investments in the tourism centres of the state in order to build more efficiency and improve marketing.
As many as 120 foreign buyers and 395 domestic buyers have currently registered in the Kerala Travel Mart. They have been conducting virtual meetings with 245 entrepreneurs in the state.
The minister said that the Kerala government will make use of advanced technologies to provide better experiences for the tourists flocking into the state. He assured support to market Kerala’s tourism sector at various international platforms.
The state government will offer full fledged aids to develop novel tourism products and extend support to attract private investments in the sector, said Minister for Finance KN Balagopal.
Minister for Industries P Rajeev said that the tourism sector has been included in the priority sectors in the state’s new industrial policy announced for the financial year 2023-24.
