Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition Leader VD Satheesan called for an investigation into the alleged conspiracy revealed in the Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) report concerning the solar case. The report revealed a complex scheme aimed at implicating former Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy in a sexual harassment case.
Addressing the media on Thursday, Satheesan pointed out that the report did not mention any UDF leader.
“CBI's findings indicate a criminal conspiracy. The CBI should probe the report further. We do not have any objections in this regard. How can the Police, under the incumbent Chief Minister, probe a case in which he could be the main accused?” asked Satheesan.
Kerala Opposition leader alleged that Broker Nandakumar is an aide of the LDF Government and added that VS Achuthanandan's name was brought into the issue in order to save Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
"CBI report clearly says that Kerala CM and other CPM leaders are involved in the conspiracy. Why did EP Jayarajan meet Nandakumar, who was asked to leave (the Kerala House) by the Pinarayi?" he asked.
