Kochi: The Railway Board has issued an order stating that the service of Thiruvananthapuram-Kasaragod Vande Bharat express via Alappuzha will soon be extended to Mangalore. However, the date from which the newly proposed services shall commence has not been revealed yet. In the order it is stated that the Vande Bharat will begin service on the new route at an appropriate time, when everything falls in place.

As per the proposed timings, the train beginning journey from Thiruvanathapura will reach Mangalore by 12:40 AM and will begin its return journey at 6:15 AM.
