Thrissur: It is not right to use Leader’s (K Karunakaran) picture on BJP’s electoral banners following the whims of Padmaja who left Congress, Shobhana George said. She was speaking to the media at Thrissur press club.

Even until his last breath, Leader has never encouraged or supported communalism. Those who leave Congress do so in tears. It is not due to problems with the party but due to issues with the leadership that such decisions are taken. As far as Padmaja is concerned, she did what she felt was right. The Left party gives more space to women, Shobhana said. 

Shobhana further added that she has no interest in contesting elections anymore and that it is time for the new generation to come forward. She was releasing the reels prepared for the Left Front candidates as part of the Lok Sabha elections.
