Kochi: In connection with the ongoing investigation, the city police are working to freeze another bank account related to Mridanga Vision. This follows the earlier freezing of two accounts that received funds from Mridanga Vision dancers. Authorities have submitted an application to the bank to take further action.

The freezing of two accounts earlier follows the police filing a breach of trust case against Mridangam Vision. The funds paid by dancers to participate in the event were deposited into these accounts.

The police have been conducting a detailed investigation into all financial transactions connected to Mridangam Vision. A significant amount was collected from the dancers, including 550 dance instructors, who took part in the large-scale Bharatanatyam event. Each participant contributed Rs 3,600, totaling over Rs 4 crore. Authorities are now examining whether Mridanga Vision holds additional bank accounts and are specifically scrutinizing the accounts used to transfer funds from the dance teachers.

Meanwhile, the city police are also moving to arrest P S Janish, a resident of Thrissur, who is the third accused in the case involving MLA Uma Thomas’ fall from the stage. Despite a High Court order to appear before the investigating officer on Thursday, Janish failed to show up, leading the police to issue an arrest warrant. The police have filed a case of breach of trust against Nigosh Kumar, CEO A Shameer, Poornima, and Nigosh Kumar's wife. Earlier, a case of attempted murder was also registered against five people, including Nigosh Kumar and Shameer.
