Kozhikode: Two residents of Kozhikode lost their lives in a tragic car accident near Natham in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu, on Thursday. Seven others, including two children, sustained injuries in the accident.

The deceased have been identified as Serina, wife of Balakrishnan, and Shobhana, wife of Govindan, both hailing from Meppayur, Kozhikode.

The accident happened around 10:30 AM while the group was travelling from Meppayur in Kozhikode to Tiruchirappalli via Natham. Their Innova car lost control and collided with a bridge on the four-lane Trichy-Natham road.

Serina and Shobhana died on the spot, while the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital. Natham Police have registered a case and have started the investigation.
