This precautionary measure prioritizes student safety amidst the downpour

Thrissur: In response to continued heavy rainfall, all educational institutions in Thrissur district will remain closed on Tuesday, October 28, the district collector announced. This closure affects professional colleges, CBSE, ICSE, Kendriya Vidyalayas, anganwadis, madrasas, and tuition centres.
The decision to shut schools and colleges comes as the region experiences persistent downpour, posing risks to student safety. However, pre-scheduled exams, interviews, and the district science festival will continue as planned without any changes.
Authorities have urged students, teachers, and staff to take necessary precautions and stay safe during the adverse weather conditions. The closure aims to prevent disruptions that might arise from travelling or attending institutions amid heavy rains.
