
Thrissur, Kerala: A national helpline launched to support men facing various grievances has been receiving calls from across the country, offering a platform for redressal and legal assistance. The helpline, CIF ONE, has helped thousands since its inception in 2014.
Since its launch on April 16, 2014, the SIF-One Men helpline has received a total of 4,08,862 calls from men seeking assistance and support for various issues. As of October 2024, the helpline has handled 32,612 calls, with Kerala recording the lowest number of calls—just 351.

24/7 support in multiple languages
The helpline is designed to be accessible nationwide, with language-specific extensions to serve callers from different regions. Calls are directed to one of ten extension numbers, each offering support in a specific language. Each extension can handle seven to ten calls at a time, ensuring quick response and assistance.
Counselling and legal assistance available
A dedicated team of counsellors is available to listen to the grievances of callers, while lawyers provide legal advice for those needing further assistance. If the complaint is valid, legal support is provided to help resolve the issue. The highest number of calls have come from the Delhi, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, and Rajasthan regions, with a total of 9,391 calls this year.
Save Indian Family operates the helpline
The helpline is operated by Save Indian Family (SIF), a consortium of 50 men's rights organisations across India and two international groups. Men in need of support can reach the helpline by dialling 8882498498, with the Malayalam extension being number 9.
