
Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government has stationed rapid action ambulance units along the Sabarimala pilgrimage route to ensure the safety and well-being of pilgrims. These units, part of the KANIV (Kerala Ambulance Network for Injured Victims), are designed to provide swift medical assistance when needed.
In addition to the regular ambulances provided by the Health Department, specialized vehicles such as bike feeder ambulances, 4x4 rescue vans, and ICU ambulances have been deployed. These units are strategically stationed at key locations along the route, including 19 emergency medical centers and oxygen parlours, from Pampa to Sannidhanam, ensuring quick access to care for pilgrims.
