Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan emphasised on Saturday that those working in the film industry must ensure that harmful content is kept out of cinemas, as movies have the power to shape public opinion. Speaking at the award ceremony where Malayalam superstar Mohanlal was honoured with the Sreekumaran Thampi award, CM stated that the film industry should offer moral values in return for the public’s support.
The Chief Minister also stressed that women should be able to freely present their artistic talents in the film industry without fear or restrictions. "There should be no system that is anti-skill," he said.
