New Delhi: The Supreme Court rejected the anticipatory bail plea of Narayanadas, the accused in the false LSD case involving Sheela Sunny, the owner of a beauty parlour in Chalakudy. The court remarked that Narayanadas should not expect any sympathy from the court while rejecting his anticipatory bail plea.
Justice Vikram Nath, who led the bench, stated that Sheela Sunny had been in jail for 72 days. However, the court pointed out that Narayanadas had not even been in jail for 72 hours.
Although Narayanadas' lawyers requested more time for him to surrender, the court did not grant the request. Senior advocate R. Basant and advocate Sulfiqar Ali appeared on behalf of Narayanadas in the Supreme Court.
Sheela Sunny, who had been trapped in the case, spent 72 days in jail. Even after her release, she was unable to restart her beauty parlour due to social ostracism. Finding it difficult to move on in Kerala, Sheela Sunny relocated and is now working as support staff in a daycare center in Chennai.
