Kannur: A 11-year-old girl in Kannur’s Naluvayal succumbed to fever allegedly due to delayed medical supervision. The deceased is Fathima of Hidayath house.
Reportedly, the child was having a severe fever for the last three days. Natives allege that the family of the deceased did not give scientific treatment to the child. Fathima was taken to a private hospital in Kannur on October 30. The hospital authorities say that the child was brought dead.
According to the residents in the area, Fathima’s family members are typically not interested in scientific medical supervision. They say the family believe in magical remedies. Locals point out that a relative of the deceased has died earlier due to the family’s objection towards scientific treatment.
