Kochi: The central government will seek explanation from the state government in connection with the Sprinklr data transaction controversy. The lawyer of the central government informed this in the High Court.
The medical details of individuals cannot be handed over to a third party without the union government's consent. These information should be stored on a server inside the country, the lawyer informed the court.
The High Court has sought an explanation from both the state and central governments in connection with the Sprinklr deal. The court will consider the case again on April 24. The Centre is likely to seek explanation from the state prior to this date, it is learned.
The High Court had criticized the state government regarding the deal and asked whether privacy was ensured in the agreement with the foreign company.
The HC further asked if there is no system available with the state government for managing the data of 2 lakh people. The court also questioned the government why they agreed the condition that the legal issues regarding the contract should be dealt within the US court.
