Kochi: Broker Nandakumar on Wednesday alleged that it was former Kerala Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan who had asked for the Solar case sexual assault case complainant’s letter implicating late Oommen Chandy in the controversy. He also denied Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s recent remark and added that the latter did not ask him to leave.

“In February 2016, VS (Achuthanandan) asked me to inquire into the letter written by the solar case complainant against Oommen Chandy. On that basis, I contacted Saranya Manoj (alias Manoj Kumar). He gave me a dozen letters, said to be written by the complainant. I gave those to VS and later during the polls in 2016, I discussed the matter with Pinarayi Vijayan, who was the the then party secretary,” said Nandakumar.

He further added that the complainant had accepted Rs 1.25 lakh for the letter. “She was accompanied by Manoj when she came to collect the money. Benny Behnan and Thampanoor Ravi made me wait for hours for the offered Rs 50,000,” he alleged.

Opposition Leader VD Satheesan in Kerala Assembly the other day alleged that Nandakumar had come to meet Pinarayi Vijayan along with the complainant. Following this, Vijayan told the house that he had asked Nandakumar to leave when the latter came to meet him in the Kerala House years back.
