Kalpetta: Condemning the death of Siddharthan, the student at the Pookode veterinary college who killed himself after allegedly suffering a mob trail in the college, SFI state secretary PM Arsho told Mathrubhumi News that, “none of the accused will be protected by any means.” The student leader also stated that the “offenders have already been ousted from the party.”
“Such instances shall never be repeated. A holistic and exemplary investigation shall be conducted. Names of four SFI workers had surfaced in the report of the anti-ragging cell. They were dismissed immediately from the organisation once their names came out. But you need not blame SFI as a whole. This is not a politically motivated assault or something,” said Arsho.
Siddharthan, a second year Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry student, was found hanging in his hostel's bathroom on February 18.
