Ramesh Chennithala said that Shashi Tharoor has no rift with the Congress in Kerala, but has a different style of functioning.

Kalpetta: Ramesh Chennithala has said that Shashi Tharoor has no issues with the Congress party in Kerala and that he cooperates in all matters. He added that Tharoor is participating in the two-day party camp.
“He is not a 100 per cent party man. His style of functioning is not like ours. He operates in a different level. He expresses his opinions on certain matters. That does not mean he is not a Congressman. How can anyone say he is not part of the Congress?” Chennithala asked.
Chennithala also said that the recommendation for a CBI probe into the Punarjani case was merely an attempt to intimidate by brandishing an ‘ola paambu’ (a paper tiger).
On the Sabarimala gold theft case, he said, “It must be found out where the gold stolen from Sabarimala is. Arresting people alone is not enough. The investigation needs to be strengthened. There are attempts to protect the big sharks. Two people with party links have been included in the SIT. The Chief Minister’s Office itself is trying to sabotage the investigation. Those who have played games with Lord Ayyappa will definitely face the consequences — and many already have,” Ramesh Chennithala said.
