Thiruvananthapuram: Sammohan, a two-day national art festival for the differently-abled kicked off at Different Art Centre, Kinfra Film and Video Park, Kazhakuttam, here on Saturday.

Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the ‘first-of-its-kind’ arts festival, where more than 1,500 children from 12 states will showcase their talent.

Vijayan elaborated on the measures initiated by the government to bring differently-abled individuals to the forefront.

The inaugural was presided by a spectacular dance performance by differently-abled artists.
