Adimali: The revenue department has served a notice to Muvattupuzha MLA Mathew Kuzhalnadan in connection with the land encroachment case in Chinnakanal. In the notice, the Congress leader is asked to defend himself, to state facts proving that no encroachment was done whatsoever. It should be noted that a case has been registered against Kuzhalnadan for allegedly encroaching 50 cent of government land in the premises of his Chinnakanal resort.
Notice has been served to the Congress MLA based on the Land Conservancy Act. He has given 14 days time to respond to the notice served to him.
The notice has been served via Udumbanchola LR Tahsildar and the village office. Meanwhile, Mathew Kuzhalnadan confirmed that he received the notice and said that he is looking into the matters concerning the same.
In case Kuzhalnadan fails to produce enough documents substantiating his claims, then the revenue department is likely to move ahead with legal action. The vigilance department has also launched an investigation into the incident. A primary report will be soon handed over to the vigilance director.
