Kasaragod: Congress leader and Kasaragod MP Rajmohan Unnithan has come up with some allegations regarding election fund fraud. While levelling charges against some of the mandalam committee presidents in Kasaragod, he said that some of them had pocketed the fund given to them to hand over to booth committees. “I know the persons who have pocketed the money. Some people also had tried to defeat me in the election”, he alleged. 

“Some leaders have taken away the money I gave them, without distributing it to booth committees. I have noticed this and marked the presidents who have done this fraud. To meet the election expenses, I had given them additional fund other than this. Block committees also were given adequate fund. The fund given to booth committees is for them alone. I won’t allow anybody to steal from that”, Unnithan said.
