In an effort to manage the surge in passengers during Republic Day, the Southern Railway has introduced special trains between Chennai, Kanniyakumari, and Thiruvananthapuram. These services will provide much-needed relief to commuters travelling from Kerala to Chennai and other destinations during the festive season.

Chennai Egmore – Kanniyakumari – Tambaram Superfast Specials (Train No. 06053/06054)

Train No. 06053 will depart from Chennai Egmore at 22.40 hrs on 24th January 2025 (Friday) and is scheduled to arrive in Kanniyakumari at 12.00 hrs the following day.
Train No. 06054 will depart from Kanniyakumari at 20.30 hrs on 26th January 2025 (Sunday) and will reach Tambaram at 08.30 hrs the next day.

Train No. 06057 will depart from Dr MGR Chennai Central at 23.50 hrs on 24th January 2025 (Friday) and is expected to reach Thiruvananthapuram North at 18.05 hrs the next day.
Train No. 06058 will depart from Thiruvananthapuram North at 20.20 hrs on 26th January 2025 (Sunday) and will reach Dr MGR Chennai Central at 14.00 hrs the following day.
