Kochi: In a closely watched election, Listin Stephen and B Rakesh have secured key victories in the office-bearer elections of the Kerala Film Producers Association (KFPA). Listin was elected as the Secretary, while B Rakesh won the post of President, defeating senior filmmakers Vinayan and Kalliyoor Sasi, respectively.
Rakesh defeated Saji Nandiyattu in the presidential race, while Listin emerged victorious over his competitors with a significant majority.

The panel led by Listin and Rakesh secured a sweeping win across key positions:
Treasurer: Maha Subair (Subair N.P.)
Vice Presidents: Sophia Paul and Sandip Senan
Joint Secretaries: Alwin Antony and M.M. Hamsa
Executive Committee: Major win for Sherg Sandeep
In the elections to the Executive Committee, Sherg Sandeep secured a thumping victory. However, Sandra Thomas, who also contested for a spot on the committee, lost, garnering only 110 votes. Sandra’s nominations for President and Treasurer were earlier rejected by the association.
Background and reactions
Listin Stephen previously served as the Treasurer in the outgoing committee, while Rakesh held the position of General Secretary. Sandip Senan and Maha Subair served as Joint Secretaries during the same term.
Following his victory, Listin took to Facebook to thank supporters, “A big thank you to everyone who elected me as Secretary of the Kerala Film Producers Association with such a huge majority,” he wrote.
