Kannur: A college principal has come out with a complaint that Students Federation of India (SFI) activists are preventing him from entering the educational institution here in the district.
The complainant, Prof. N. Yousef, is the principal of MES College at Naravoor in Kuthuparamba here in the district. However, SFI denied the allegation and said that it was the college management that had prevented the principal from entering the college for denying attendance to college union members.
“SFI activists threatened to kill me if I entered the college. Hence I have not been able to enter the college since December 9, 2019,” Yousef said.
It must be noted that 14 students from the college, who are SFI leaders, could not attend the examinations last semester as they did not have sufficient attendance. SFI alleged that this was due to the principal seeking revenge.
“The principal is not even ready to consider giving attendance provided to union activists to the students,” the SFI activists alleged.
However, Yousef said that the students did not even attend one class during last semester.
Meanwhile, SFI district leadership clarified that there was no ban on the principal and that the college management had removed Yousef for his anti-student activities.
