Kozhikode: Following the public spat within the BJP over its defeat in the Palakkad by-election, a protest poster campaign has been launched against the leadership in Kozhikode. Several posters, attributed to the ‘Save BJP’ group, have appeared in various parts of the city, criticising the state leadership.

The poster labels the state leadership as the “Kuruva gang,” referring to a notorious group of thieves from Tamil Nadu. It identifies K. Surendran, V. Muraleedharan and P. Raghunath as the ‘Kuruva gang’ of the BJP and calls for their ouster to save the party.

“Remove the Kuruva gang of BJP—K. Surendran, V. Muraleedharan, and P. Raghunath—and save the party,” the poster says.

It is reported that the handwritten posters have been put up under the cover of night. On Monday, K. Surendran held a press conference in Kozhikode, after which the party imposed a ban on public responses related to the Palakkad by-election defeat. The posters began appearing the day after the ban took effect.
