A case, including attempt to murder, has been registered against Thrissur BJP South president Sreekumar for brutally assaulting his wife over her arriving home late.
Thrissur: A case has been registered against a BJP leader in Thrissur for brutally assaulting his wife. A case, including charges of attempt to murder, has been registered against Sreekumar, the BJP Thrissur South president. According to the complaint received by the police, Sreekumar assaulted his wife because she arrived home late. His injured wife was admitted to hospital.
The incident took place on Tuesday evening. The complaint submitted to the police states that he banged his wife's head against the wall and struck her on the face.
The police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) for offences including domestic violence and attempt to murder.
