Thiruvananthapuram: In a shocking revelation, veteran Congress leader P J Kurien said that broker Nandakumar had approached him seeking help to get back the money paid to Pathanamthitta BJP candidate Anil Antony.
"Nandakumar sought my help, claiming that Anil Antony owes him money. He wanted my help to persuade Anil to return the money," Kurien said.
"I can't remember whether I asked A K Antony or Anil Antony to return the money if at all money dealings had happenned. I communicated with one of them. I am not aware of any appointments in CBI. I haven't asked for details about the bribe or the financial transactions. I am certain that A K Antony has no involvement in this issue," he said.
Earlier, Nandakumar alleged that Anil Antony accepted a bribe of Rs 25 lakh for a standing counsel appointment in the CBI.
