Kottayam: Former director of KR Narayanan National Institute of Visual Science and Arts (KRNNIVSA), Shankar Mohan, alleged conspiracy behind using students of the institute against him. The government has to decide whether to publish the K Jayakumar commission report. The government should investigate those behind the conspiracy, he said.
Shankar claimed that some of the persons whom he dismissed from the institute were using the students and playing the "caste card" against him. He was accused of caste discrimination, by the students of the institute.

“I did not expect the teachers to resign,” he said, and added that they were standing for the truth. Mohanan said the teachers did not resign because of him.
“I resigned after completing my three years in the post. The resignation has nothing to do with the K Jayakumar commission report,” he said.
“I do not keep a caste surname. I have not thought or worked in that way. Caste is the most sellable weapon in Kerala. I will not blame the students. Some other people are behind this,” he said.
Though classes have resumed at the KR Narayanan institute which was shut due to the students’ protest that lasted 50 days, it is not yet full-fledged since several of the faculties, including the dean, resigned on Monday.
