Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala state police chief Anil Kant IPS has issued orders to District Police Chiefs to beef up night patrolling in the state. He urged the officials to strengthen night patrolling so as to ensure law and order and to restrict crimes.
As per the directive issued, night patrolling from 10 PM to 5 AM will be strengthened in major junctions, side roads, ATM counters and religious centres. For this, beat patrol, night patrol and bike patrol groups are assigned. DGP has directed the officials to use highway patrolling vehicles and control room vehicles for the process.
In alternative days, sub inspectors will be part of night patrolling. The supervision of the process will be done by assigned inspectors and sub divisional police officers.
