Palakkad: The Democratic Movement of Kerala (DMK) headed by PV Anvar MLA has announced its candidates for the by-elections in the state. The party declared candidates for the by-elections in Palakkad and Chelakkara constituencies.

In Chelakkara, Congress leader and AICC member N K Sudheer has been fielded as the candidate. In Palakkad, social worker Minhaj Medar will contest as the DMK candidate. PV Anvar also announced that the DMK would support Priyanka Gandhi in Wayanad, stating that the party would campaign for her in the elections.

Meanwhile, Anvar accused Chief Minister's political secretary P Sasi of being involved in the death of ADM Naveen Babu. Anvar alleged that P Sasi has several benami deals involving petrol pumps.

Anvar further claimed that P Sasi used the district panchayat president against ADM and accused Divya's husband of being Sasi's benami. He demanded a judicial inquiry into ADM's suicide, stating that a police investigation would be ineffective.
