Kozhikode: IUML leader MK Muneer said that there is nothing wrong in not inviting Samastha to the Palestine Solidarity Rally organized by the Muslim League on Thursday. Koduvally MLA denied having any preconceived notions regarding the decision to not invite Samastha. He stated that it is the Muslim League's responsibility to host such events like the human rights demonstration.

"The rally is unrelated to the IUML's election campaign. Everyone should organise their own demonstration. It makes no difference who is invited to such an event; what counts is the League's position," Muneer said.

Muneer pointed out that Congress leader Shashi Tharoor was invited to the rally as the chief guest due to his stature as a leading international figure.

"As someone with extensive experience in the United Nations, he possesses a deep understanding of India's stance on the Palestine issue during that period. He is known for his ability to engage in profound discussions on such matters," Muneer stated He further said that Tharoor is a staunch advocate of anti-BJP politics.
