Kozhikode: The district governing body has denied permission to the Congress party to hold its Palestine solidarity rally at the Kozhikode beach on November 23. The permission was denied citing security concerns over the ‘Nava Kerala Sadas’ scheduled to be held at the same venue two days later.

KPCC was expecting the participation of over 50,000 members in their rally. However, the district authorities denied permission for the rally due to security reasons. Kerala CM Pinararyi Vijayan and a slew of officials will be arriving in Kozhikode on November 25 to attend the ‘Nava Kerala Sadas’ in the city.
