Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition Leader VD Satheesan has assured that the Congress party will take strict and unbiased action against Rahul Mamkootathil if the serious allegations raised against him are found true. He emphasised that the party will not show any leniency, regardless of the leader’s stature.

Speaking to reporters, Satheesan confirmed that the initial complaint regarding a message sent to a young woman had been brought to his notice earlier. He said he intervened in the matter as a father figure, given the sensitive nature of the issue.

Satheesan clarified that he is not yet aware of the additional allegations that have surfaced recently, but maintained that any such developments will be thoroughly examined by the party.

He strongly stated that there will be no compromise or face-saving efforts, and if needed, he is ready to lead the disciplinary action.

Reaffirming the party’s stance, Satheesan said the Congress is committed to maintaining accountability and discipline and anyone found guilty of misconduct will face firm consequences.
