Kochi: The Kerala High Court here on Wednesday has postponed the hearing of anticipatory bail plea filed by the three accused over the POCSO case related to No 18 hotel. After listening to prosecution and defendant lawyers, the court decided to postpone the matter for further hearing. The plea will be considered again on Monday.

In the court, the prosecution argued that the owner of No. 18 hotel Roy Vayalt is not cooperating with the investigation in the case. The prosecution demanded that the accused including Vayalat should be questioned in police custody. The confidential statement of the complainant woman who is the mother of the victim has been taken, the prosecution informed. 

Meanwhile, the defendant in the case argued that the complainant is spreading false news through media and accused her of attempting to financial fraud. Evidence related to the cases against the complainant will be submitted before the court, added the lawyer.

The defendant also demanded the court issue an order preventing the arrest of the three accused. But the court didn't issue any order in this regard. Responding to this demand, the court informed that oral directions given to the probe officials over the arrest of the accused must be continued.Hence, the accused will not be arrested till Monday. 

A POCSO case was registered against Roy and two others at the Fort Kochi police station based on a complaint by a woman and her daughter from Kozhikode. Roy's friend Saiju Thankachan and his friend Anjali were also named accused in the case.

According to the complaint, Roy had sexually assaulted the girl in his hotel weeks before the car accident that left two Kerala models dead in Vytilla. Further, the accused allegedly recorded the incident on a mobile phone. As per the complaint, Anjali had taken the girls to the hotel and drugged them. The POCSO case was handed over to the Special Investigation Team investigating the model's road mishap case.
