Nenmara: The Nenmara police will submit a report into the case of a young couple who lived in a small room without letting others in the house know in Ayilur village in Palakkad. The Nenmara police will submit the report as per the direction of the Women’s Commission.
The statement of Rahman and Sajitha and the detailed statement of their parents were recorded. The police will hand over the detailed report to the commission including their findings. The police initially felt that there were no discrepancies in the statement given by Rahman and Sajitha.
The women’s commission wanted the police to submit a report to know if any human rights violation had taken place in the incident. The visit by the women’s commission to the house of the couple was put off to Tuesday due to the inconvenience of a few members.
The Kerala Women’s Commission has registered a case and demanded a detailed report from the Nenmara police. Women’s commission chairperson Josephine herself would visit the house to evaluate the developments.
Members of the Mahila Association also reached the house of Rahman and Sajitha for help. Household items like fan and chairs were given by the Kollengode area committee members.
Association district president K Binumol, area secretary P S Prameela, Nenmara block panchayat president C Leelamani, association members Baby Sudha, Sai Radha, Sreeja Rajiv handed over the household items to the young couple.
