Kollam: Following the release of the Hema Committee report, MLA and actor Mukesh has expressed his support for the investigations into the allegations made against filmmakers, including himself. Mukesh, in a Facebook post, emphasised the need for an objective and transparent investigation, stating that the truth must prevail and that he is prepared to face legal action if required.
Mukesh noted that he has no objections to those pursuing a political agenda against him, describing the current situation as a repeat of the 2018 political drama, which, according to him, was dismissed by the general public. He further accused the actress, who made the recent allegations, of attempting to blackmail him.

He urged the public not to succumb to blackmail tactics and stressed the importance of uncovering the truth. "Those who fabricate accusations and set traps to destroy others' lives will be exposed," Mukesh asserted, adding that he intends to take strong legal action against those involved.
Recalling an incident from 2009, Mukesh stated that a woman contacted him, introducing herself as someone seeking opportunities in the film industry. She visited his home with a photo album and introduced herself as Minu Kurian. Mukesh mentioned that he responded politely to her request for help, as he usually does. She later sent me a message expressing my polite behaviour during the meeting.
Mukesh claimed that at no point did the woman express any dissatisfaction or point out any inappropriate behaviour. He stated that he lost contact with her for several years, only to be contacted again in 2022. This time, she introduced herself as Minu Muneer and requested substantial financial assistance. When Mukesh expressed his inability to help, she asked for at least Rs 1 lakh.
She then sent him a WhatsApp message requesting this amount. In a subsequent message, she informed him that individuals from a particular community had been asked to intervene after he refused to pay. A few days later, Mukesh received a call from someone claiming to be her husband, demanding a large sum of money. Mukesh asserted that this group, which had been persistently blackmailing him for money, turned against him when they saw an opportunity. He concluded by saying that he has evidence to support his claims regarding the messages they sent him and emphasised that he has no intention of tarnishing anyone’s character or dignity.
