Aswathy, daughter of celebrated writer MT Vasudevan Nair, has strongly rejected rumours suggesting that renowned filmmaker Mani Ratnam was involved in selecting the director for the upcoming pan-Indian film adaptation of Randamoozham. The iconic novel by MT Vasudevan Nair is in the early stages of being adapted into a large-scale film, but Aswathy has made it clear that Mani Ratnam had no role in the director's selection.
In a statement to mathrubhumi.com, Aswathy clarified that the chosen director had been provided with the script, along with an extensive collection of reference materials. These materials included a video document in which MT himself explains scene-by-scene details, character mannerisms, costumes, and properties. Aswathy emphasized that the rumours were baseless and declined to comment further on the issue.
Fans of MT Vasudevan Nair's work are eagerly awaiting the film adaptation of Randamoozham, anticipating a faithful and grand portrayal of the novel's epic narrative on the big screen.
