Thiruvananthapuram: MLA M Swaraj attacked the opposition over the no-confidence motion against the government here on Monday. Mocking the opposition, he stated that the no-confidence motion has become a wet cracker in the assembly.

“They brought the motion against the government even though they knew, they will face a defeat in the assembly,” criticized the MLA.

At the same time, he alleged that some anti-left groups are functioning in the state with the support of some media groups.

He also pointed out the corruptions and scams under the previous UDF government.

“MLA VD Satheesan who presented the no-confidence motion had accepted the huge corruption during UDF reign. But he did not criticize LDF in such a manner. Even the present opposition leader had criticized that corruption was a part of the UDF government. But he also did not utter such a statement on LDF government,” he added.

All these facts reveal that the LDF government do not face allegations of corruption like UDF did. So, the discussion on no-confidence motion became a stage to dismiss the allegations against the LDF government, pointed out Swaraj.

At the same time, he criticized the negative campaigns against the LDF government. He also reminded the opposition about the corruptions and scams during UDF reign.
