Kozhikode: Muslim League MLA Dr M K Muneer has advocated the demand for introducing additional plus two batches in the Malabar region.  

Targeting the government, the MLA said that barely increasing the number of seats will not meet the demand. He asked the officials to produce the Karthikeyan committee report on the issue. 

“The situation in Malabar is entirely different from the rest of Kerala. Here even students who have secured A Plus in all subjects are finding it difficult to choose the stream of their choice. It’s high time to put an end to the discrimination against Malabar students,” said the MLA. 

He also warned of widespread protests if the demands aren’t met.
