Thiruvananthapuram: The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE) has declared the Kerala Plus Two examination results, ending the wait for more than 4.5 lakh Class 12 students across the state. Results for the Higher Secondary Examination (HSE), Vocational Higher Secondary Examination (VHSE) and Technical Higher Secondary Examination (THSE) were announced on Tuesday, with the HSE pass percentage showing a slight increase from last year.

What is the overall pass percentage in Kerala Plus Two results 2026?

The Higher Secondary Examination (HSE) recorded an overall pass percentage of 77.97 this year. This is 0.16 percentage points higher than last year's 77.81%.

A total of 3,72,423 students from 1,990 schools appeared for the examinations, and 2,90,381 qualified for higher studies.

How did girls and boys perform?

Girls recorded a higher success rate than boys in this year's examinations.

Malappuram had the highest number of A+ scorers, with 4,621 students securing A+ in all subjects. It also recorded the highest number of students appearing for the examinations.

Which schools recorded notable performances?

Government HSS, Thirurangadi in Malappuram had the highest number of candidates appearing for the examination, with 835 students. The school recorded a pass percentage of 85.39%.

Govt Rajah's HSS, Kottakkal in Malappuram recorded 820 candidates and an 85% pass percentage.

St Mary's HSS, Pattom in Thiruvananthapuram had 797 candidates and recorded an 80.55% pass percentage.

MSM HSS, Kallingalparamba in Malappuram recorded 770 candidates and an 88.31% pass rate.

A total of 76 schools recorded a 100% pass percentage this year, up from 57 last year.

The number of schools recording pass percentages below 30% dropped to 32 from 46.

What are the THSE and other stream results?

The Technical Higher Secondary Examination (THSE) recorded a pass percentage of 72.82%.

Out of 1,523 students who appeared from 15 technical higher secondary schools, 1,109 qualified for higher studies. Fifty students secured A+ in all subjects.

Improvement examinations will be conducted from June 29 to July 3.

 

Authorities had arranged 389 examination centres and eight valuation camps for the vocational stream, while around 3,700 teachers were deployed for examination-related work.

The state had also introduced a separate arrangement for students from Gulf examination centres after examinations there were cancelled due to tensions in the Middle East. Their marks are being awarded based on school term examination performance and internal assessment records.
