Thrissur: A doctor at the surgery unit of Thrissur Government Medical College, Pauly T Joseph, has been suspended following allegations of humiliating a female house surgeon during a study trip.

The house surgeon filed a complaint with the Principal, accusing the doctor of misconduct. Following an internal inquiry conducted by the medical college, the doctor was found guilty, leading to the suspension.

The suspended doctor was previously implicated in a case involving scissors forgotten in a patient's stomach.
