Kozhikode is set to host a major event that will showcase Malabar’s tourism potential on the global stage. The ‘Tourism Conclave 25: Gateway to Malabar Tourism’, organised by Mathrubhumi, will take place on August 23.

Minister for Public Works and Tourism PA Mohamed Riyas will deliver the keynote address at the conclave, which will be held at The Ravis Kadavu, Calicut. Malabar Gold and Diamonds is the title sponsor for the event. Kerala Tourism Department, Sargaalaya Kerala Arts and Craft Village Iringal, and The Ravis Kadavu are Associate Partners, while Air India Express Airlines is the Airlines Partner.

The conclave will see the participation of key figures from the tourism industry, including wedding planners, leading Indian vloggers, and adventure tourism experts. Sessions will cover a wide range of themes such as Wellness Tourism, Adventure Tourism, Experiential and Community Tourism, Destination Weddings and MICE, Culinary Tourism, Holiday Tourism, and Digital Empowerment Tourism.

Minister Riyas said Kerala’s tourism sector has been moving forward in the post-Covid period. He noted that the tourism department aims to promote the entire state as a single destination while giving greater attention to Malabar, a region still underexplored by visitors. He expressed hope that the Mathrubhumi Gateway to Malabar Tourism Conclave will play a key role in this endeavour.
