Palakkad: Columnist and Mathrubhumi News cameraman A V Mukesh was killed in a wild elephant attack here on Wednesday. He was 34.
The unfortunate incident happened while he was on duty in Kottekad, capturing images of wild elephants crossing a river.
Though he was rushed to a district hospital in Palakkad, he succumbed to injuries. His mortal remains are kept at the mortuary.
Besides photography, Mukesh writes a popular column titled 'Athijeevanam' on mathrubhumi.com. After serving a long stint in Delhi, he joined Palakkad Bureau last year.
Son of Unni and Devi from Paripanagadi, Malappuram, Mukesh leaves behind his wife Tisha.
