Kozhikode: In a powerful demonstration of solidarity, tens of thousands of individuals participated in a rally organised by the Indian Union Muslim League to support the Palestinian cause. The event, held at Kozhikode beach, was presided over by PK Kunhalikutty. Muslim state president Panakkad Sayyid Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal inaugurated the rally, with Dr Shashi Tharoor MP serving as the chief guest.

Thangal emphatically stated that Israel represents one of the most significant sources of terrorism globally, and anyone supporting Israel is an accomplice to these acts. He emphasised that resistance is the lifeblood of the Palestinian people, underscoring their enduring struggle. General secretary PMA Salam welcomed the participants. He highlighted that the majority of India stands in unwavering support with Palestine.

PK Kunhalikutty expressed the belief that the heartfelt prayers of the downtrodden Palestinians will be answered someday.

The rally also showcased the League's strength despite ongoing disagreements within Samastha Kerala Jem-iyyathul Ulama (EK faction). The event also drew attention for its significant female participation.
