Kochi: “Just as one longs to sleep after a day’s work, one should depart from this world in the same way” — a heartfelt wish, once expressed and cherished by Sanoo master, has now found its final rest. Thousands gathered at Ravipuram crematorium to bid farewell to M K Sanoo, a beloved figure in Malayalam literary criticism.

His mortal remains were cremated with official honours.

Prominent figures from political, cultural and intellectual circles arrived at the crematorium to pay their final respects. Ministers, public representatives and disciples came to have one last glimpse of him and offer their tributes.
