Chief Minister V D Satheesan visited his 79-year-old former primary school teacher at a care facility in Vaikom, 52 years after she taught him.

Vaikom (Kottayam/Kerala): Chief Minister V D Satheesan paid a visit to his former teacher Sati, who currently resides in a care facility, to inquire about her well-being. Hugging the educator who had taught him in primary school 52 years ago, the half-century separation melted away in a moment filled with mutual respect and care.
Sati was V D Satheesan's class teacher and Hindi instructor when he was a Class 6 pupil at Nettoor Saraswathi Vilasam UP School. The Chief Minister was in Vaikom to inaugurate the Nerekadavu–Makkekadavu bridge when he learned that his former teacher was residing at the Anjaneya Charitable Trust care facility, managed by the Kochangadi Anjaneyamatham Temple.
The 79-year-old teacher spent over half an hour conversing privately with the Chief Minister in her room.
“The fact that Satheesan spared time for me, a teacher who taught him 52 years ago, reflects the values of his wisdom. I feel immense pride and joy,” Sati remarked.
Upon his arrival at Anjaneyamatham, the Chief Minister was received by Mathadhipathi Ramachandra Swamy, secretary P Balakrishna Pillai and president K Prakasan. The Chief Minister offered comfort and support to the residents at the care facility, commending Mathadhipathi Ramachandra Swamy's dedicated care for the destitute.
