Thiruvanathapuram: Kerala Women's Commission chairperson M C Josephine has made a controversial statement that her party acts as a court and also as a police station.
Josephine further said that if a complainant asked for a party inquiry into the complaint, then it need not be investigated by the commission. Though a case was charged against P K Sasi, the complainant's family had said that they only want a probe by the party, she said.
"I am a person who grew up with the help of the party. No party would take a stricter action than the one taken by the CPM in these matters. The family had asked to take party-level decision. Our party acts as a court and a police station. We would not compromise with any leader," she stated.
