Kochi: Former member of the Law Reform Commission and wife of former MP Sebastian Paul, Lizamma Augustine, passed away on Friday. She was 74 years old. 

Lizamma was a member of the Moonjappilly family on Providence Road in Ernakulam.

She started her judicial service in 1985 as Kasaragod Munsiff. Later she worked as Sub Judge, District Judge, Joint Secretary in the Law Department and Motor Accident Claims Tribunal. She was the chairperson of State Agricultural Income Tax and Sales Tax Appellate Tribunal and Judicial Member of Company Law Board in Chennai. 

She has also served as the Director of Paul's Law Academy and a High Court Arbitrator. 

Apart from her judicial career, she had also authored a book named 'Forgotten Victim'. 

Funeral ceremony will be held on Saturday morning at St Francis Assisi Cathedral Cemetery in Ernakulam.
